I have always loved the works of Italian artists, I am sure it is because of my heritage. My mother's parents were born in Italy and later came to the United States. My father's parents lived in Italy part of each year and in Florida the rest of the year while I was growing up. My grandfather was an artist himself, I mean not well known but he loved to paint, I am sure that is where I got my love of art from. I always enjoyed visiting my grandparent's home and looking at the walls covered with wonderful art pieces from Italy he collected over the years. Don't get me wrong, I love all kinds of art just have a special connection and love for Italian Artwork and wanted to share a slideshow I came across featuring the best of Leonardo da Vinci.
Hope you enjoy!

The Guggenheim
I am so excited for my brother, he is now working for
The Guggenheim in New York City assisting with exhibits.
I hope to bring my son one day soon to see his uncle in action.
I found the following photo and information on their website
and wanted to share, sounds like a wonderful art museum.

Click photo to visit website
The Guggenheim is an internationally renowned art museum
and one of the most significant architectural icons of the 20th
century, the Guggenheim Museum is at once a vital cultural center,
an educational institution, and the heart of an international
network of museums. Visitors can experience special exhibitions
of modern and contemporary art, lectures by artists and critics,
performances and film screenings, classes for teens and adults,
and daily tours of the galleries led by experienced docents.
Founded on a collection of early modern masterpieces, the
Guggenheim Museum today is an ever-growing institution
devoted to the art of the 20th century and beyond.
I am sure my brother will do great and love his new position!

Very Cool 3D Sidewalk Artist
When I logged into my yahoo mail account today I saw some vey cool 3D sidewalk art created by German artist, Edgar Muller. I have heard of him before but never really took the time to learn about him. I had some extra time this morning and decided to read up on him at his website. I find his work beautiful and wanted to share what I found on YouTube. This video shows how he created one of his most recent street designs, it really is amazing.
Hope you find his work as interesting as I did!
